Polystyrene tiles are the fastest and the most economic modes of ceiling decor. Using
ceiling tiles
produced by Solid company you can easily change the image of your office and make it look more stylish. The right side of the tile may be covered by a film (sheeting) of some kind: it can be transparent or wood/ fabric o stone colored. The tiles may have smooth or prominent texture. You don’t need special experience nor do you need special tools for installation. You can easily color the tiles with water-thinned paint using a roller.
For your kitchen and bathroom we recommend using tiles with a special laminated film covering, which can be washed or brushed or rubbed when dirty. These tiles with the special film covering may be pasted over nearly every of surface, including: concrete, brick or gypsum boards - to hide its imperfections and inequalities.
Following all the instructions below you’ll achieve the desirable result easily.
STEP 1. Clean and dry the ceiling. Wash the whiting and apply a paint primer.
For better tiles’ fitting mark the center of the ceiling. To make the center right extend sea-line from the opposite corners, on the intercrossing make a sign (see picture).
Through this point make crossways 2 straight lines going parallel to the walls and dividing the room into 4 equal parts.
STEP 2. For better results we recommend you using mastic for ceiling tiles, universal polymeric adhesive or erecting adhesive, produced by Solid.
On the pasting side apply adhesive making 5-6 points on each tile. The corner of the first tile should be placed right in the centre (see picture).
STEP 3. Along the line that you designed on the ceiling, paste a number of tiles. Be careful, try not to break the line. All the tiles should be pasted in the same direction. Excess adhesive should be cleaned away. The last tiles installed should be close to the wall and the excess should be cut with a sharp knife. As a finishing touch you can use Solid moldings.
